Art furniture is all about disorder, moving away from formal principles into the realms of fantasy.
This piece is made from solid figured Sycamore with sculptural door panels, drawer fronts, an aromatic Cedar of Lebanon carcass and handmade wooden hinges. The grapevine is hand carved in relief, winding its way around the dresser and is responsible for the chaotic frenetic movement within the piece. Relief carvings are often used as the reason for movement in a certain direction, adding validity to the visual impact.
